Help USASers Build Student-Worker Solidarity in Colombia!
USAS student leaders will be going on a student labor delegation to Colombia this summer, where we will be meeting with leaders from Colombian labor, student, community, and indigenous organizations to build international solidarity and power. USASers, alongside representatives from Labor Against Racism and War and the Alliance for Global Justice, hope to build long-lasting relationships with workers and students in Colombia that will allow us to coordinate our movements for justice in both countries. Student leaders are so excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain hands-on organizing experience with workers abroad, especially in a place like Colombia where labor unions are facing violent repression and international solidarity is more crucial than ever. Attending international delegations in the past has empowered USAS alum to become skilled movement organizers long after their time in college ends.
In order for this amazing opportunity to be accessible to working class USASers, we need your help! Please donate what you can to our delegation scholarship fund – any contributions will go directly towards the cost of flights, accommodations, and meals for the USAS representatives on this trip. Your support is instrumental to making experiences like this possible for students. You can donate any amount to our scholarship fund here.
