Our next event in the USAS Global Labor Justice Teach-in series will be on The Labor Struggle in Haiti: Past and Present. Register here to attend! We will be joined by amazing guests, including GOSTTRA (a Haitian textile workers union) general secretary Reginald Lafontant, BreakThrough News journalist Eugene Puryear who recently reported on the ground in Haiti, and Haitian artist and organizer Rivka Valérie Louissaint. Learn about Haiti’s powerful history of labor struggle, including a successful slave revolt that continues to inspire workers around the world, and current events such as the trade unions’ struggle against U.S. imperialism in Haiti, and what USASers can do to be in solidarity with Haitian workers.
