Join us on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 8pm at LiUNA’s rooftop space (905 16th St N.W.) for a benefit in support of United Students Against Sweatshops. This isn’t your typical labor movement fundraiser, it’s a dance party! “Party Like It’s 1997” is a cross-generational space to gather folks from across the labor movement to let loose and dance the night away to 90’s tunes, classic hits, and fresh beats. United Students Against Sweatshops (USAS) is the nation’s largest student-led labor campaign organization with locals at over 150 universities and colleges. USAS has organized for student and worker power since 1997 and is the official student partner of the AFL-CIO. Over the past 22 years we’ve won precedent-setting victories and have trained tens of thousands of young activists to become skilled organizers, researchers, and campaigners. 1 in 4 USAS alumni go on to work in the labor movement. Your generous support is a direct investment in the future of the labor movement.
